iTrader: ( 14) Just a heads up, the KW HAS kit limits your inner clearance up front. 19x10" ET25 wheels will not work without running spacers, and at that point your front wheels are well into the front fenders. With a KW HAS kit, your best bet is to run something like 19x9.5" ET22. Rears could be 19x10.5" ET22.
I suspect in 10-15 years time, these will become underrated performance bargains, and many will be turned into track day cars. Much like the E36 M3. I much prefer it to my e92 m3. Our experience with spherical front control arm ball joints go back to those we designed and used in our IMSA E90 328i and E92 M3 racecars (GS class Champions in 2011). We wanted to offer E31, E32, E34, E38, E39, E53, E60, E63, E64, and E83 owners similar levels of handling precision and control for the track and street.
So far, it's obviously been completely reliable. I would focus on the later model cars, 2011 and up, due to a number of things including the Al/Ti bearing update. I also have an E90 330i that we ordered for my wife ~9.5 years back, and that car has been incredibly reliable for all its 131k miles so far.
